4-H Chili Cookoff

Friday, January 26 from 6-9 p.m.
The 3rd Annual 4-H Chili Cookoff, hosted by the Sorrento Renegades, will take place at the Lake County Extension Center, located at 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares. Tickets are $5 to sample chili or $10 to enter a pot in the contest. To reserve a spot in the cookoff, call 407-319-1543. It is recommended to bring cash for raffles and the silent auction. 4-H is America’s largest non-formal educational program for youth, annually reaching approximately 6.5 million young people. The educational programs help children develop inquiring minds, learn practical skills, strengthen decision-making abilities and improve communications and interpersonal relationships. In the Florida 4-H program, youth are provided opportunities for awards, trips and scholarships.
