Enrich your Heart with ART at the 43rd Annual Mount Dora Arts Festival February 3rd and 4th, as the returning #7 in the nation, Best Fine Arts Festival!
The streets become a sea of white tents, as 291 artists from all over the country, set-up their mini art galleries. Painters, jewelers, sculptures, potters and more are ready to sell fine art to art lovers from far and wide, while competing for top prizes. Artists are awarded cash prizes, totaling $20,000.
This top-ranked event, takes place in historic Downtown Mount Dora Florida, which is nestled along the shores of Lake Dora, along a magnificent lake view!
From talented Principle Percussionist to Samba Music of Brazil, musicians will entertain the audience at the Donnelly Park Stage from 10 am to 5:00 pm both days. Bringing kids? Stop over the Kids Art Zone to have their face painted and create their very own award ribbon, to present to their favorite artist. Stay the whole day taking in the arts and eat at the food court or one of the many local restaurants offered here in Mount Dora. Merchant stores will be open too!
This year’s poster artist is Steve Bowersock. Bowersock, a native of the Ohio aluminum mill region “where velvet Elvis paintings were fine art,” started to pursue painting seriously nearly two decades ago, following a stint in the US Marine Corp. He studied at Granite State College, in New Hampshire, and at Sanctuary Arts, Eliot, Maine. Bowersock resides most of his time in Provincetown, Massachusetts where he owns Bowersock Gallery and has exhibited in numerous invitational and curated exhibitions throughout the East Coast.
