The City of Mount Dora is proud to be the site for the 4th Annual Blueberry Festival, the weekend of April 28th and 29th!
The City of Mount Dora supports agriculture in Lake County and is the host to a growing festival celebrating this antioxidant superfood! Blueberries have come into demand and in much of Florida, there are several berry varieties specific to the climate. Florida sustains a current crop of 17 million pounds of blueberries and that number continues to grow.
The Festival will feature a blueberry pancake and waffle breakfast, a pie-eating contest, 100 vendors, music, a chance to buy blueberry plants, fun for the kids and even blueberry wine and craft beers. This event is free to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
