AdventHealth Waterman’s Interactive Classes Help Disrupt the Cycles of Back Pain

Posted on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 1:50 am

AdventHealth Waterman will host a 10-session class on how to manage chronic back pain.
Psychologist and pain management specialist Janeane Reagan, Ph.D., will teach participants how the brain processes pain, how to use the brain to manage stress and how to control back pain symptoms.
“The deep breathing and mindfulness training helped me to immediately alleviate most of my pain,” a previous class participant stated. “It helped to have an explanation of how pain works in the brain and with my thoughts and feelings.”
From Sept. 12 through Nov. 14, classes will be at the AdventHealth Waterman CREATION Health Center, 1000 Waterman Way, Tavares, every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The fee to attend the entire series is $40 and advanced registration is required.
