Will you plan to join us on Friday, January 11, 2019, at the City of Tavares to celebrate the completion of one of our more unique utilities projects located on Ruby Street in Tavares and across Sinclair Avenue at the Ecological Park and will you help us in thanking our Ruby Street business partners for enduring our dust? 919 days from start to finish is worth celebrating!
Beats on the Brick will begin on Ruby Street at 6:00 p.m. with a ceremonial Laying of the Bricks along with a shower of high-impact FIREWORKS! Music and activities will begin immediately following the ceremony. Prepare to play, eat, sing a little Karaoke, and dance the night away!
There will be food on the street by Ruby Street’s finest restaurants ~ Disney Spring’s Strolling Piano ~ Performing on the West End stage: Orlando’s best party band, 12-piece Blonde Ambition, and performing on the East End stage: Orlando’s indie-rock, Irish folk, & bluegrass band Beemo!
Watch artists paint and be sure to get your picture taken with the Lumitron or in a vintage VW Bus! And for an extra layer of fun, come out and meet the newest members of the City’s vehicle fleet: the Rec Rover, a mobile recreation center and the Library Book Bike, a mobile library.
Complimentary popcorn and cotton candy offered by the Tavares Utilities Department – complimentary library books, and complimentary commemorative chocolate bars rolled up to you by Skate World!
You have to come to this event. You just HAVE TO! It’s unique, it’s fun, and it’s FREE!
