The Rotary Club of Leesburg (Sunrise) is proud to present our 31st Annual Blood Screening Event Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The event this year will be held at the Leesburg Center for the Arts, 429 W. Magnolia Street in downtown Leesburg.
This blood chemistry profile is an affordable way to detect possible problems with your liver, kidneys, heart, and blood sugar. It addition to the basic metabolic panel and complete blood count, it also includes lipid testing and liver enzymes.
These tests normally average several hundred dollars, but thanks to our partnership with HealthLink Diagnostics we are able to offer this basic test for only $45.
This year we are able to offer three tests you may add once you have registered for the basic test:
Men may add the PSA (prostate specific antigen test) for an additional $25. This test is primarily used to help detect prostate cancer.
An A1C test, used to measure the average glucose level over a three month period, may be added for an additional $20. This test is used primarily by diabetics and pre-diabetics to monitor their blood sugar.
The TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) test is used to monitor thyroid function, and may be added for an additional $40.
Registration forms and additional information are available online at
Preregistration needs to reach us by Tuesday, February 12, 2019. Walk-ins the day of the event are welcome, but may experience delays.
Tests are mailed directly to participants, but participants are strongly encouraged to share the results with their doctors.
In addition to providing a direct health benefit to individual who participate, the Annual Blood Screening Event benefits the community because proceeds from this fundraiser are funneled back into the local community.
