Sallie and James Townsend Return to Clermont

The South Lake County Historical Society is proud to announce the return engagement of the play Sallie and James. Written by Candace Keller-Raber, the play depicts the early years of the lives of Clermont's first African-American settlers, Sallie and James Townsend.
Performances will be on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26 at 2:00 PM on the porch of the Townsend House in the Historic Village located at 490 West Street in Clermont. On Saturday the 25th the festivities will begin at 12:00 when lunch will be sold. At 1:30 the original Cooper Memorial Library building will be officially dedicated followed by the play at 2:00.
