Community Cats and Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)

Posted on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 1:33 am

TNR Lake County (a division of LEASH, Inc.) is working to implement a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program, a highly effective method to achieve both short and long-term stabilization of community feral cat populations. TNR involves humanely trapping the cats, having them spayed or neutered by a licensed veterinarian, ear tipped and vaccinated, and then returning them to their outdoor homes where they will be cared for by community caretakers. Come learn more about this program and how the Trap-Neuter-Return program can help the community feral cat populations of Lake County. The seminar will be held on Saturday, July 20, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the Umatilla Public Library, 412 Hatfield Drive, Umatilla. For additional information, and to reserve a seat contact LEASH, Inc. at 352-340-3803.
