Dr. Larry A. Suecof would like to announce his return to the practice of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery with Robert A. Krauklis DPM, as well as the opening of the Mt. Dora Lower Extremity Wound Center, in Mt. Dora, Florida.

Dr. Suecof has been in practice full time in Connecticut since 1981 and has completed specialty (Fellowship) training in the treatment of Diabetic Lower Extremity Complications at the Joslin Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts as well as in Infectious Disease with an emphasis on Lower Extremity Wounds including skin, soft tissue and bone infections of the foot, ankle and leg at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.

Dr. Suecof is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. This is the only recognized Podiatric Surgical Board by U.S. Hospitals for in-patient and out-patient surgical foot and ankle care. He is a Fellow of the ACFAS.

Dr. Suecof has also been Board Certified by the American Academy of Wound Management (CWS) since 1995. He is a Fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists.

Dr. Suecof has spent the last 28 years as the Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut. Additionally, he has been Section chief for Lower Extremity Wound Medicine and Limb Salvage at the Hartford Hospital center for Hyperbaric and Wound Medicine since 1985.

He has published multiple articles as well as authored a textbook chapter on extremity infections and Diabetes.

His specialty interest includes prevention, treatment and education of patients with lower extremity wounds and complications as a result of any disease process, including, but not limited to, Diabetes, Venous Insufficiency, Arterial (PAD) and Arthritic Diseases. We also provide specialty care for patients with bone infections of the foot and ankle as well as treatment of lower, extremity Peripheral Neuropathy.
Dr. Suecof’s practice is associated with Florida Hospital Waterman as well as Florida Hospital Orlando and Altamonte Springs.

He currently has 5 separate clinical research trials underway including wound related studies and fungal nail related studies. We are now actively recruiting patients for the above studies, and if qualified, the patient may be eligible for financial compensation for participation as well as free treatment of the condition.
