On Wednesday, February 7, 2018, the Mt. Dora Community Trust presented a check for $4,800 to representatives of the Lake-Sumter Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women). These monies will support AAUW’s efforts to provide college scholarships for local women and send local middle school girls to Tech Trek (STEM) summer camp.

AAUW has long been been a leader in empowering women and girls through education, advocacy, philanthropy, and research. The Mt. Dora Community Trust has helped to fund local educational, charitable, and benevolent projects and purposes since 1972.
