Eustis High School Band at First Friday Fest

Posted on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 1:59 am

Living in a small town that provides a monthly street festival like Eustis is wonderful. The artists are colorful, the vendors are fun and the food trucks provide the senses with the wonderful smell of indulgence. Every month there are live music performances. This is a free event for anyone to attend. Unless it rains you are guaranteed a great time from a date to family night.
On August 4, 2017, the event that brings neighbors together wrapped their arms around the local school band. The Eustis High School Panther Band, directed by Mr. Mathew Flenner stood proudly as the community gathered. Brass polished and smiles bright, the 9th thru 12th-grade high school students stood proudly. The performance was the first for many of these young teens in this group. Showing off some of the things they learned during their extensive Summer Band Camp Program. Inspiring sounds leaving Eustis and the surrounding communities in amazement and wondering what this year might bring?
