Free Twirling Lesson

Umatilla and Eustis area children ages 4 and older are invited to participate in a free twirling lesson on August 20th in the lobby of Eustis Heights Elementary School from 5-6 pm and on August 22nd inside Umatilla ACE Hardware in the air conditioned Dee’s Dolls Studio from 5-6 pm. Experienced twirlers are invited to attend a free lesson inside Umatilla ACE Hardware from 6-7 pm on August 22nd.
Girls will have the opportunity to experience twirling, marching, and pom pom dances to see if they would like to continue lessons. Registration for weekly classes August – March will take place at the free lesson. Borrow batons will be available for girls who do not have a baton. Girls that decide to continue twirling will get to participate in upcoming parades and shows. More information can be found at www.deesdollstwirl.com or by calling 669-8584.
Instruction will be provided by Dee Ann Wilson. Dee Ann not only won numerous awards in twirling, including Southeastern United States Solo Champion, she has also taught twirling for 46 years. Her mother, Deloris Carter, started teaching twirling in Lake County in 1955. Dee Ann was a National Baton Twirling Association and Florida Bandmasters Association judge.
