Memorial Day Service

The Trustees of the Sorrento Cemetery will hold the 16th Annual Memorial Day Service at the Sorrento Cemetery located at 23305 Oak Lane in Sorrento. The service will be May 29th at 10:00 am.
Our guest speaker is Paul Gunthrie, from Eustis, Florida. He served in the U.S. Army for five years. He was wounded in Vietnam and medically retired in 1972 as Captain.
Flag ceremony will be presented by Boy Scout Troop 16 and Cub Pack 16 from Mount Dora.
The National Anthem will be sung by Don Campbell, Civil War re-enactor from 47th NY Volunteers Infantry Company K.
Special Recognition will be for: James Luther Fisher, enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1943 and served during World Warl II and John Furmon Driggers, enlisted in the U. S. Army in 1945 and served during World War II.
Taps will be played on the bugle by Life Scout Kenneth Albury, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader.
Everyone is welcome. Bring a lawn chair.
