Remembering the Native American Holocaust

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC…..The Annual Thundering Spirit Family Pow Wow will host its annual event at Renninger’s Twin Markets on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 3rd, 4th, 5th 2017. This year’s theme is “Remembering the Native American Holocaust.”
Pow Wows are the Native American people’s way of meeting together to join in dancing, singing, visiting and renewing old friendships. They open their event to the public and welcome you to come spend the day learning about their culture and heritage. Native dancers, music and storytellers will entertain you non-stop daily. There will also be many vendors with native crafts and plenty of food!
The Pow-Wow begins on Friday with Children’s Day from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. There will be special demonstrations and games. The first Grand Entry is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. that evening. Grand Entries are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and 7:00.p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Entertainment will be held daily starting at 10AM by a great line-up of artists such as: Native American legendary violinist, Arvel Bird; Grammy Award Winner, Joanne Shenandoah; Singer/Performer, Lucas Ciliberti, and many other accomplished musicians. You will also enjoy entertainment by the Aztec dancers, storytellers, singers and exhibitors.
Admission is only $5.00 per person and children under 12 are free. Active, retired or service persons are also admitted free. Bring the whole family and spend the day!
