Spring Break Camp

Are you looking for activities to keep your third, fourth or fifth grader occupied during Spring Break? Does your child want to learn about nature? Last chance to register for the Trout Lake Nature Center’s Outdoor Adventure Day Camp is taking place. Held from March 19 to 23 from 9 AM to 3 PM, this camp provides fun and exceptional adventures learning about nature, the environment and the outdoors.
Activities planned for this camp include excavating an archeology “dig”, learning outdoor survival skills, dissecting different types of fish to learn about old world and new world fish, shooting a competition-type bow, and more. Students perform real-world science activities and work alongside scientists from the Florida Public Archeology Network, FL. Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission and FL. Forest Service during the camp.
Designed to develop many of the skills needed by students today and to allow students to participate in “real science” activities, the camp is active, hands-on and loads of fun.
