The next exciting performance by the Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 13600 Caspian Lane, Clermont, will be on Friday, February 16, 2018.
This concert “Song of Spring” starts with Vivaldi’s “Spring” (from The Four Seasons) and continues with “Intermezzo” from Cavalleria Rusticana, Debussy’s “Afternoon of a Faun”, Grieg’s “Morning Mood” and Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A, played by 15 year old Young Artist Prize Winner, Tyler Spence.
The program includes two works from the master of tango, Astor Piazzolla “Spring” (four seasons of Buenos Aires) and “Oblivion”. As a nod to Valentine’s Day, the famous “Love is Blue” will be performed. Ravel’s “Enchanted Garden” and the “Polovetsian Dances” complete this Spring Concert. Guest Conductor will be the charming Paul Hostetter, who conducted the recent Christmas Concert. This will be a remarkable and very beautiful concert.
Tickets are $45 at the door or $42 in advance. Special reduced price of $30 for groups of 10 or more. Students are $15 (parent accompanying student is $25).
