Spring Thing Crazy Plant Event

Posted on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 1:11 am

You are invited to the 1st Annual Spring Thing Crazy Plant Event! This plant fundraiser is being held every Tuesday thru Saturday in March 2019 from 10am to 4pm. Crazy Plants Nursery and Crazy Critters is located at 22919 County Road 44A in Eustis.
Crazy Critters Conservancy is a Non-Profit, 501(c)3, exotic animal rescue and sanctuary. The wildlife facility provides habitat to over 300 animals including lizards, turtles, skinks, geckos, birds, and assorted wildlife.
Crazy Critters was established to provide non-domestic, non-releasable animals with a safe and permanent home. Mostly Tortoises and Turtles call Crazy Critters Inc. home. Crazy Critters is completely private because they allow all the animals to live a naturalistic life. Since they do not have animals on display, they do not do “public animal tours”.
What makes the facility unique is that after adoption, the facility continues to share the lives of pets on social media. Providing an additional continued connection as well as plant and animal information.
Proceeds from plants like succulents, cacti, and hibiscus grown at the Crazy Plants Nursery are used to fund the organization. Please come out to support this unique facility as it is currently adding to the bog system that was started last spring. The bog system recycles water from ponds in each enclosure. The system then pushes that water through the facility cleaning it naturally by using plants, rock, soil, and animals that work together efficiently.
In fact, this system is how the rescue and sanctuary can care for so many animals. If your company would like to sponsor Crazy Critters, please contact Ken or Cherrice Purvee at 352-589-5999.
