This central Florida town comes alive every year with more than 400 fine and fun hand craft exhibitors displaying their works for sale on the streets of its historic downtown district. For many small towns, parking can be a challenge so the event organizers are highlighting a new train shuttle and other options to help visitors get to and from the event.
Janet Gamache, the show’s Event coordinator, says, “The Mount Dora Fall Craft Fair draws visitors from all over the state each year shopping for unique hand crafted gifts and items. We have a mixed bag of exhibitors with highly polished art next to inexpensive, fun craft items so there is a lot of appeal for a wide audience. A record number of visitors are expected to visit the event so you’ll need to get here early to get any available parking spaces close to the festival.”
For those who don’t want to get up early or cringe at the idea of driving around looking for parking spaces, there will be shuttle options for visitors who prefer to Park and Ride straight to the event.
Gamache says, “In addition to the traditional bus and golf cart shuttle services from remote parking areas, Visit Mount Dora is partnering with the Orlando and Northwestern Railway to move guests from an ample parking area to be dropped in the center of the festival. The train is a neat addition and I think many people will take this option just to add it to their already fun day.”
Shuttle service will be offered at multiple locations:
You can Park and Ride Saturday and Sunday 9 am-5:30 pm
