Tavares Library – September 2019

The City of Tavares Public Library September Programs Calendar is available in a new easy to read at-a-glance format. Pick up a print copy of the calendar at the Tavares Public Library 314 N. New Hampshire Ave. during regular library business hours Monday and Thursday 9:30 am-8:00 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9:30 am-6:00 pm and Saturday 9:30 am-5:00 pm.
September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month. Signing up for a library card opens a world of infinite possibilities: libraries offer resources and services that help people pursue their passions and give students the tools to succeed in both school and life. With a Tavares Public Library card one may borrow audiobooks, DVDs, music CDs, and books in both print and ebook formats.
Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September. During the month, the American Library Association and libraries unite in a national effort to ensure every person signs up or their own library card. Lunch Time Concert: Lakeside Chamber Players on Thursday, September 26th at 12:30 pm. Janet Harris and Craig Hunting of Lakeside Chamber Players will present Bassoon ‘n’ Fiddle, a one hour recital featuring fun and lively arrangements of popular tunes as well as a light sprinkling of timeless classical melodies.
