Triangle Boat Club Activities

The Triangle Boat Club (TBC) is a boating and social organization which has its own clubhouse with docks and is made up of people who enjoy boating (12001 W. Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL 32778). But, they are also very concerned about boating safety for all and the preservation of our waterways. These goals can be met by educational programs and boat safety inspections by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. The TBC can be reached at 352-533-8398.
October 13th, Saturday: Scavanger Hunt/Poker Run! Check in at 10:00 am – includes picking up your charts, rules, etc., and at 10:30, everyone heads out onto the lakes with their amazing search list of scavenger hunt items on the Harris Chain of Lakes. Everyone returns to the clubhouse at 12:30 pm for lunch, including dessert and drinks. Following the scavenger hunt, guests are welcome to purchase a poker hand for $5 each, with cash prizes given out for the best three hands. Guests are welcome. October 19th: Third Friday Social – Chili Cook-Off! Social 5:30, Dinner: 6:30 pm. Anyone interested in entering their chili, please contact Kay Anderson: anderson.katherine04@gmail.com. A prize will be awarded to the most popular chili! Also, included with dinner will be corn bread, all the chili fixins, and terrific desserts! Location: Triangle Boat Club. Cost: $10 per person. October 24th, Wednesday: Pool Party! If you are traveling by boat, meet at the TBC Boat Club and depart at 10:30 am – if you are traveling by car, arrive at Tom & Judi McCarrolls at 11:00 am. McCarrolls are opening their home to us so we can have fun. It’s a pool party – swimming, water volleyball, corn-hole toss, etc. Bring a dish to pass and your own beverage – hosts will provide iced tea. McCarrolls are generously providing the meat! October 27th, Saturday: Triangle Boat Club’s Clean-Up/Work Day. Show up at our Boat Club at 9:00 am and be ready for some Clubhouse cleaning, fixing, building, and touch ups! We are going to have great fun working together and getting things done! Guests are always welcome! For further information, call 352/533-8398.
October 30th – November 2nd: Multi_day Cruise To Sebastian Inlet. Make sure and put this cruise on your calendar! We will be spending 2-3 days treasure hunt exploring the Florida Intracoastal Waterways (ICW) and beaches unknown. (We will be staying at Captain Hiram’s Resort located at 1580 US 1.) Tuesday, the 30th, we will start our cruise at 11:00 am, stopping for lunch at Squid Lips. Following lunch we will cruise until 3:30 pm, then social hour, and dinner. Wednesday, the 31st, will be another exciting day of cruising the ICW, with a fun social and dinner at Captain Hiram’s Resort. Thursday, Nov. 1st, will be an extra special day of cruising – treasure hunting at Sebastian and Wabaso Beaches – looking for gold bullion and gems from a Spanish fleet destroyed in a 1715 hurricane. At 5:00 pm, there will be cocktails at the pool, and dinner TBD.
