Posted on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 1:31 am

The Triangle Boat Club (TBC) is a boating and social organization which has its own clubhouse with docks and is made up of people who enjoy boating (12001 W. Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL 32778). But, they are also very concerned about boating safety for all and the preservation of our waterways. These goals can be met by educational programs and boat safety inspections by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. The TBC can be reached at 352-533-8398.
November 10th, Saturday: First Ever “Maritime Wheel Of Fortune”. Boaters will depart the TBC clubhouse at 10:00 am with instructions to look for a designated number of yellow buoys somewhere on Lake Harris, the Dead River and Lake Eustis. Each buoy will have a block of wood painted with the Morse code sequence that equates to a letter (boaters will be given a “cheat sheet” describing each letter’s Morse code sequence) – these letters will go together to form a phrase which needs to be solved to win the cash prize. Each boat will have one entry and the first boat to arrive at the clubhouse with the correct answer is the winner.
Also, when boaters return to the clubhouse, lunch will be served – approximately 1:00 pm. Cost for the lunch will be $10, which includes hot dogs, chips, salad and dessert. Guests are always welcome, call for information 352/533-8398.
