Triangle Boat Club Activities

The Triangle Boat Club (TBC) is a boating and social organization which has its own clubhouse with docks and is made up of people who enjoy boating (12001 W. Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL 32778). But, they are also very concerned about boating safety for all and the preservation of our waterways. These goals can be met by educational programs and boat safety inspections by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. The TBC can be reached at 352-533-8398.
March 15th, Third Friday Social: Hosted by Becky Riehl and Tom Green. The menu will be Chicken Divan, rice, Caesar salad with homemade dressing, hot curried fruit and dessert. Put this sumptuous meal on your calendar and we’ll see you at TBC. Social starts at 5:30 with dinner at 6:30. Guests are always welcomed. $10 per person. Call for information 352-533-8398.
March 20th, St. Patrick’s/St. John’s River Day Cruise: Hosted by Captain John to tour the “south” part of the St. John’s River launching at the Butler Street ramp in Astor at 10:30 A.M. (just south of the Blackwater). Plan to caravan with car/trailer/boat leaving the Winn Dixie parking lot located at US19 & 44 (Southeast corner) at 9:00 A.M. On the water, will navigate to the St. John’s River Grill for lunch and afterwards navigate back to the Butler Street Ramp. Should be back to Tavares by 5-6:00ish. Call for information 407-929-2740.
March 27th, Wednesday Lunch Bunch: Hosted by Alan to cruise or drive to O’Keefe’s in Tavares. Plan to leave TBC dock by boat 10:30 A.M., tour Eustis lake, Dora Canal and Lake Dora with final destination at O’Keefe’s for lunch approximately noon. Note, plan on beaching boat by O’Keefe’s as city docks have not been replaced. If by car, plan to be there by noon. Call for information 352-272-1015.
