Poetry Sales Benefit Veterans
Wednesday, September 1, 2010
Two local women, Cathy Booth and Shirley Mayor, are in partnership putting poems on t-shirts and other items. In honor of Veteran's Day, t-shirts with a Veteran's poem and photo will be sold, with 50% of the profits being donated to American Legion Post 76 Auxiliary to help our soldiers, veterans and their families. This sale will go on through September 10.
Please check out the web-site www.SparklesGaloreApparel.com in September for the t-shirts, book of poetry, more information and new items for sale. You can also send your E-mail to: Info@SparklesGaloreApparel.com.
The author, Cathy Booth, has been asked to recite two poems "Mother of a Soldier" and "Veterans" at the dedication for the Veteran's Memorial Wall in Leesburg. The dedication is scheduled for Veteran's Day, but it may be delayed due to construction until after January 2011.
She has also put together a book of her poems entitled; "REMEMBER" Those Who Serve. This book will also be included in this Fundraising Project to benefit our Soldiers, Veterans and their families. There are over 50 poems in the book.
