Lake Technical Center's Fall Term 2010

Lake Technical Center is accepting applications for prospective students for the fall 2010 term which begins August 23rd. Programs open for enrollment include: Accounting Operations, Administrative Assistant, Architectural Drafting, Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing, Business Computer Programming, Certified Nursing Assistant, Commercial Art Technology, Commercial Foods and Culinary Arts, Commercial Foods and Culinary Arts Apprenticeship, day and evening Cosmetology, Early Childhood Education Apprenticeship, Facial Specialty, Medium and Heavy Duty Truck and Bus (Diesel Mechanics), Massage Therapy, Nail Specialty and day and evening Welding.

EMT, Practical Nursing, Firefighting, Law Enforcement, and Corrections have specific application deadlines. Admission requirements may be obtained by contacting the main campus Admissions Office at 352-589-2250 or the Institute of Public Safety at 352-724-6463.

Financial aid, such as Pell grants and other scholarships, may be available to those who qualify. Prospective students are strongly encouraged to complete their financial aid paperwork for the fall 2010 term as soon as possible by securing a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov, then applying online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Students attending a Lake County public high school or a Florida private secondary school may be eligible to participate in dual enrollment if they meet required criteria. Eligible home-schooled students, who are registered with Lake County schools, may also participate. For more information, contact the Lake Technical Center Admission's Office at 352-589-2250.

Adult Education day and evening classes, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Education Development (GED), and Vocational Preparatory Instruction (VPI) are available at various locations throughout Lake County.
