"Is There More to Life?" Alpha Course Offered

Saint Philip Lutheran Church, 1050 Boyd Dr., Mount Dora, is offering the Alpha Course beginning on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 4-6 pm in the Family Life Center building.

Alpha is an introduction to authentic Christianity that is presented in a thirteen week time span involving video presentations and small group discussion. The first Alpha program was presented at Holy Trinity Brompton Anglican Church in London, England. Since its start over two million people in one hundred twenty-one countries have taken the Alpha course.

Leading this Alpha course is Rev. Richard Williamson. He is a retired Methodist pastor, who with his wife has conducted 13 Alpha Courses. During the thirteen week length of the course, topics covered include: Christianity - Boring, Irrelevant and Untrue? Who is Jesus? How Can I be Sure of My Faith? What does the Holy Spirit Do? Why and How Should I Pray?
