Bay Street Players in Eustis offers the comedy/adventure play Around the World in 80 Days, Jules Verne's tale of adventure adapted by Mark Brown, for three performances, February 12, 19 and 26. This show is part of the 5th Season of alternative series that brings new works and cutting edge theatre to a rapidly growing audience.

Come experience stampeding elephants, raging typhoons and runaway trains! This unabashedly slapstick comedy will have you holding onto your seats for the original amazing race! Join fearless adventurer Phileas Fogg and his faithful manservant as they race to beat the clock! Phileas Fogg has agreed to an outrageous wager that puts his fortune and his life at risk. With his resourceful servant Passepartout, Fogg sets out to circle the globe in an unheard-of 80 days. But his every step is dogged by a detective who thinks he's a robber on the run. Danger, romance, and comic surprises abound in this whirlwind of a show.

Directed by Joel Warren, this show features actors Ben Adams, Liz Curtis, Ethan Earls, Jim Meadows, Chasteen Mullins, Dina Paulin, James Simpson, Patrick Ward and Joel Warren.

The production will be held at the historic State Theatre located at 109 North Bay Street, Eustis. Curtain time for these Sunday evening performances is 7:30.
