Winter Wellness Health Fair

The Women's Missions of Grand Island Baptist Church is pleased to announce our second Winter Wellness Health Fair on January 14, 2012 from 11 AM - 2 PM at 13229 County Road 44, Grand Island.We are in partnership with Amedyiss Home Health and Home Instead Home Care.

The Health Fair will focus on meeting physical and spiritual needs. The community will be provided with lectures starting at 11 AM by local physician Dr. G. Ikeler who will lecture on COPD (the causes, preventative measures & treatment).Matt Gravat from Home Instead will speak on serving health care. He will cover practical tips, what to ask, what to look out for, what to expect, and what to demand when it comes to health care and being an advocate for yourself or someone else.

The Health Fair will have free glucose screening, blood pressure screening, and balancing information.

Mr. Carlos Vega from Lincare DME will test for O2 Sat. Nancy Lapointe, MS,RN,LMT will have a massage chair for screening & relaxation.

Dr. Brown Chiropractic will have spinal screening & handouts.

Dr. Lal, GI Specialist, will provide a booth managed by Sophie Boyette, RN with information on maintaining healthy bowels and different procedures available.

Don & Jan Jenkins, owners of Complete Nutritional Solutions Wellness Center, will discuss with you and provide information on living a healthier lifestyle, slowing down the aging process, reducing your blood pressure and cholesterol, and promoting healthy bones and joint integrity.
