The Original Soupman of New York -- made famous for its innovative recipes and fresh ingredients and immortalized by the catchphrase "No soup for you" from the TV sitcom Seinfeld -- helped deliver a special holiday treat to families at Tavares Elementary.

At the behest of basketball great Shaquille O'Neal, who joined Soupman, Inc. as partner, brand champion and advisor last year, the expanding restaurant sent a shipment of frozen soups to help feed families at Tavares Elementary."[Orange County Sheriff's Office Capt.] Sandy Carpenter and his assistant Jo Ann Taylor came to Tavares Elementary where the truck arrived, and helped me disburse soups to some of our families in need," said Leonora Rossodivito, Family & School Liaison at Tavares Elementary. "What an awesome time we had!"In addition to the soup donation, Shaquille O'Neal invited some Tavares Elementary students to ride the Shaq-tacular Christmas Parade Float at the Tavares Christmas Parade. The float followed Shaq's Motorcycle.
