Local Student Earns First Place in Essay Contest

Natalia Markham, a student at Mount Dora Middle School, received first place honors in the Martin Luther King annual essay contest sponsored by Lake Sumter Community College.
Natalia enjoys art and writing. Natalia recently authored a children's book titled: "That Ain't Nothin.' The children's book describes the adventures of Jefferson, a southern boy who faces difficult challenges. Whether it's a tornado or a big wildfire, Jefferson stands tall and proud and just replies "that ain't nothin."
