The acclaimed family musical ensemble The Annie Moses Band will be bringing their unique combination of classical, pop, folk and gospel music to First Baptist Church in Mount Dora September 18 at 6:00 pm. Admission to the concert is free, and a love offering will be taken.

Familiar to television audiences across the country, The Annie Moses Band was featured in a 2009 PBS Christmas Special, and last year, was the subject of a documentary, "Faith, Family and Music," which aired on leading Christian television networks. With an expanding international following, The Annie Moses Band performed at the April Spring Arts Festival in Pyongyang, North Korea, in 2009. At that time, only six US delegations had participated in the event since its creation in 1982.

Based in Franklin, Tennessee, The Annie Moses Band has numerous critically acclaimed recordings to their credit: Christmas Bright and Beautiful, Through The Looking Glass, This Glorious Christmas (Reunion Records), Christmas With The Annie Moses Band, and their most recent project, a live CD and DVD, Pilgrims & Prodigals.

The Annie Moses Band is a Christian family of Julliard-trained musicians and award-winning songwriters dedicated to virtuosity in the arts. Led by lead singer/violinist, Annie Wolaver, the Band includes her five siblings: Alex, viola; Benjamin, cello; Camille, harp/keyboard; Gretchen, violin/mandolin; and Jeremiah, guitar and banjo. Add the veteran songwriting talents of their parents, Bill and Robin Wolaver, and you have a dynamic group with roots in classical, pop, and jazz. Together, they are leading an artistic renaissance in the Church through musical excellence, strength of family, and a message of faith, inspiring all generations to join in the discipline, beauty, and excitement of highly skilled musicianship.
