Wild Ibis Art Studios and Gallery of Eustis will open a show of new art on Friday, April 19th, 6 to 8 p.m. The event is themed “Equinox,” with works depicting the renewal of spring and rebirth. The show will also feature the abstract art of Liz Wincup of Mount Dora. The show will run through May 22nd.
Wincup, who is a popular area art instructor, considers herself an abstract colorist. She works with high chroma colors juxtaposed with the greyed colors found in nature.
Wild Ibis features the studios and gallery of six area artists: Lou Buigas, Cathy Caine, Kelley Batson-Howard, Karen Kline, Jackii Molsick and Krysta Smith. The group’s art represents both two- and three-dimensional pieces, in a variety of media.
Wild Ibis is located at 133 North Grove Street, Suite A, in Eustis. For more information, 352-459-3585.
