For the 8th consecutive year, Women for Hospice has donated $100,000 to Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care. The donation, which was announced at the volunteer organization’s annual Christmas party, brings Women for Hospice’s total giving amount to $2.3 million.
The funding is earmarked for hospice patient care in Lake County. Women for Hospice, which was founded more than 25 years ago, raises money from monthly luncheons, special events, and the Hospice Hope Chest resale store in downtown Mount Dora.
“Their giving inspires all of us at Cornerstone,” said Chuck Lee, CEO of Cornerstone Hospice. “They consistently demonstrate how much these ladies are willing to do to help the hospice mission. We remain ever grateful to them for their years of service and support.”
